Business Intelligence Service (BIS) experts participated on June 24, along with other 30 representatives of consulting companies, in a roundtable discussion organized by the Competitiveness Enhancement Project (CEP II). The event was organized to identify the main constraints in the development of Moldovan SMEs and Business Development Services to be provided to SMEs in order to facilitate their growth.

During the event it was also discussed the possibility of drafting and adopting a code of conduct for service business development in order to assure constant quality of business advisory services.
The proposal was also supported by the Chairman of the Board of BIS Valeriu Lazar, who said that ”the approval of minimum quality standards would lead to a more professional consultancy industry and its credibility”.
Through the World Bank Second Competitiveness Enhancement Project (PAC II), Grant Component (MGF), SMEs with export potential may access BDS to help increase their competitiveness.
